The first 6km of the route are same as on the 30km route.
After the first 6km the shorter route turns away from the long one. The following 2km runs on easy single and double trails. This section of the trail is almost flat.
The route comes back to the 30km route just before the final climb. This section of the route is the most demanding for the youngsters. There are some steep and short uphills and downhills which require strengt and skill.
